How a Lawn Health Program Fixed a Weedy Backyard
A patchy, weedy, compacted lawn doesn't always need to be torn out. This backyard came back with a simple lawn health program and a few adjustments to the sprinkler system.
The problem
The lawn was patchy, weedy and compacted, and it wasn't a yard anyone wanted to spend time in. The client wanted the opposite: a place where she, her friends and her family could take their shoes off and play cornhole and other lawn games without stepping on a spiky weed or a compacted, dry spot.
The fix
We put the lawn on a lawn health program and adjusted the sprinkler system. Dry spots often come from sprinkler coverage that misses part of the lawn, so getting the water right was part of the fix.
The result
A thick, even, green backyard lawn built for bare feet and lawn games, and one that has the neighbors talking.
