Most problems show up as a dry spot, a puddle or a zone that won't run. Here's what usually causes each one and what the repair involves.

Sprinkler Repair Questions
When should I turn my sprinklers on in Spokane?
After the last hard freeze of spring, once nights are staying above freezing. In the Spokane area that's usually April or May. Turn the system on too early and water in the backflow preventer and above-ground pipes can still freeze and crack. Book a spring start-up and we'll turn it on and check it for you.
Why won't one of my sprinkler zones turn on?
The usual causes are a stuck or failed valve, a controller problem or a wiring fault between the controller and that valve. Pinpointing which one takes testing, so Automated Lawn & Pest Control diagnoses the zone before replacing any parts.
Why does my lawn have dry spots when the sprinklers run?
Usually it's coverage: a clogged or broken head, a head knocked out of line, low pressure in that zone or a schedule that doesn't give the zone enough time. Adjusting heads and run times fixes many dry spots. Sprinkler adjustments were part of how we turned a patchy, weedy backyard into a healthy lawn.
Can you repair an old sprinkler system?
Yes. We keep very old systems running with new heads and controllers, and when a repair means digging, we put the turf back neatly. If a system needs more than repairs, we can revamp it or add to it.
Is there a service fee for sprinkler repair?
