The story
Renovating a South Hill Landscape, Front to Back
The goal was simple: transform the entire property with a landscape that looks finished and stays low maintenance.
Designing from a 3D rendering
We presented a 3D rendering with the proposal, so the client could see the layout before any work started. From there, the client gave our team creative control to build it out.
The build
Concrete curbing on a gravel base sets the shape of the design, with lawn throughout. In the back corner, a small paver patio with a bench makes a place to sit. Boxwoods went in along the sidewalk, and the property's two large Montana rose crystal rocks became focal points at the front of the home.
Smart irrigation and drip
A Wi-Fi-enabled smart irrigation system waters the landscape. Drip lines run through the shrub beds, and the trees and a raised garden bed are on their own isolated drip valves, so they can be watered on a separate schedule from the lawn and shrub beds. More on sprinkler installation with Wi-Fi controllers and drip lines.
The result
A finished, low-maintenance landscape across the whole property, and one the neighbors noticed.
