From a Sprinkler Quote to a Full Landscape Install
The client called us to install a sprinkler system at their new home and planned to landscape the yard themselves, a bit at a time. Once we talked through what they wanted from the yard, they had us design and build the whole landscape instead.
What the property needed
The house was newly built and the yard was bare, rough-graded dirt on every side. The client wanted a landscape that would work for a growing family and keep working as the family changed, on a sensible budget.
The plan
We kept the client involved in the design. They chose the plants and trees, and we worked their ideas into a layout that kept costs down without cutting corners on quality.
The work
- Concrete curbing. 3x5-inch flat concrete curbing sets the shape of the beds, lawn and play area with a clean, durable border.
- Black basalt rock beds. Basalt rock in the planting beds helps hold moisture and keep weeds down.
- Stairs and a play area. Integrated stairs lead down to a curbed mulch area sized for the family trampoline.
- Plants and trees. A mix the client picked for color and texture as it grows in.

- New lawn. The lawn areas were hydroseeded by a partner company.
The result
The yard went from bare dirt to a finished landscape built around how the family uses it, with a sprinkler system to keep it watered.
